Trinity is located just north of the Pinellas and Hillsborough county borders in West Pasco County. Trinity is the junction where Pasco, Hillsborough and Pinellas Counties meet. It is currently considered part of the New Port Richey area.
Trinity’s History
Trinity is named after Trinity College of Florida, a Bible college founded in 1932. Until 2004, it also shared a small airport with Odessa, Florida, known as The Tampa Bay Executive Airport. However, this airport has since closed.
Since its founding, Trinity has grown significantly. Today, there are nearly 11,000 residents living in Trinity. The median income for a household in the CDP was $68,883, and the median income for a family was $72,365. While this area is growing, it is still relatively small and consists of single family homes, townhouses, and apartments.
Trinity’s Geography
Trinity, Florida is centered at 28°10′40″ North and 82°40′16″ West. It has a total area of 4.7 sq mi (12.2 km2). None of the area is covered with water.
Recreational Amenities in Trinity
Residents of Trinity can enjoy shopping plaza, restaurants and other attractions that are within walking distance or a short drive. The beach and parks are also located just minutes away with Anclote River Park, Robert K. Rees Memorial Park, Fred Howard Park nearby. Hudson Beach, located north of Trinity offers a boat ramp, boardwalk, picnic area and beachside restaurants.

Trinity has various public and private schools, including 4 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school. The public district schools in Trinity are operated by Pasco County School District. Children attending elementary school go to Trinity Elementary School, Trinity Oaks Elementary School, Longleaf Elementary School, or Odessa Elementary School. The middle school in Trinity is Seven Springs Middle School. The high school in Trinity is James W. Mitchell High School. Private schools in Trinity include Elfers Christian School, Genesis School, Solid Rock Community School and Genesis Preparatory School. Trinity College of Florida, a 4-year private Christian college, is also located here.
Art and Culture in Trinity
Art, dance, and martial arts classes are offered by local venues in Trinity. However, residents can also visit attractions in nearby Tampa since Trinity is primarily a residential community.
