My name is Michael J. Neal. I was born in Gary, Indiana but raised in Merrillville. In 2005, I graduated from the Merrillville High and proceeded to study at the Purdue University. I was lucky to have a full ride scholarship due to my football success. Within the next 5 years, I had graduated with 2 degrees. The first was in Health and Fitness and the other being Organizational Leadership and Supervision (OLS).
I was also drafted 2nd Round 56th pick during the 2010 draft as a defense tackle. While still being a rookie, I won the SuperBowl. I kept playing for the Packers for 6 years; 4 of which were spent being a starter at outside linebacker. I believe that these experiences have helped me become who I am today. They have supported my development into a structured and detailed-oriented person. The experiences also fuel my drive and competitive nature, which is important for a real estate career.
For the past 3 years, I have been living in Tampa. My residence is in Seffner, which is located in the Hillsborough County and manage work from the New Tampa office. Whenever I got the off-seasons between football, I have come to Tampa to train for the upcoming season. I have been following this routine for 8 years now. I have a deep involvement with the NFLPA and the NFL Alumni Association. These organizations also work closely with multiple charity and community events.
I am a part of a team that features winning systems and creates a foundation for excelling. I can work wonders within my niche of being a competitive negotiator and a buyer specialist. I can successfully deal with high-end buyers and open-minded and outgoing people. Communication, transparency, and trustworthiness are the key elements for such work, which I focus on abundantly.
I can identify my business style as ensuring that my clients’ needs are met but being an economist of the market is also one of my specialties. Given the talent for being an economist, I keep up with the statistics of the month, stay updated about active residential listings, work with average days on the market, monitor number of sales and the overall appreciation and depreciation to keep the buyers and sellers informed.
Since I was professional in my previous career of being a football player, I have developed my people and communication skills. I can connect with others and listen and absorb what they have to say. This allows me to formulate the best possible solutions when needed. Also, given my detail-oriented personality, I can be a bit of perfectionist who provides complete information and an action plan others can count on.
I like to focus on being upfront about the process by managing pre-listing appointments. I also indulge in buyers’ consultations so the clients can be educated. This helps them be aware of what is expected and the varying scenarios that can develop as a result of a closed contract.
